No prior experience, where to start?

Hi there!
Im 27, have nothing going for me and I am looking for a new avenue of living!
I think I would be pretty good at programming and software development, but i dont realy know where to start.
Should I download programs like unity or Basic and just go from there/ watch a youtube video?
Is there a complete begginers tutorial that goes over all the languages or should I just pick one and go?
I have found a bit of information by just googling, but I feel its not the best way to go.
