Networking with product manager while interviewing for software dev job

Tldr: what to and not to say when networking with product manager who works at company you are interviewing for a sde job.

Scenerio: you are currently in the interview process for software developer role. You want to attend a networking event that teaches about product management that's taught by a senior PM of a company you are interviewing for.

Question: is it ok to tell this senior PM that you want to be a PM in the future? And that the reason you want to be a SDE is to learn how software development works in detail from the engineering side, and slowly learn the soft skills needed for PM?
