How hard do you find developing software as a profession?

I’ve been in this game for a few years now and I’m genuinely interested in hearing how people find developing software? I think it’s sometimes hard to get an honest answer out of your peers, and many problems seem easy on the surface so sometimes it’s hard to gauge how everyone really feels about it? And I don’t just mean coding, I mean the whole package- the act of delivering value to a company. Interested to hear everyone’s thoughts!
