How To Work In An Open Plan Office? Tips?

Hi!

I am starting my first real software development job after graduating University this coming Monday as a Software Engineer 🙂

When I visited the office today to meet the team I noticed that the room that the development team works in was on the small side and open plan too.

I am just looking for some advice on how to work in such an environment.

My best work has always been done in absolute silence alone in a closed room. I am worried that I will not be able to perform…
