Music software development

Hello all. New to the community, and new software development(brand new👶).

I am very interested in learning to develop, and I want to develop some software for myself(and to share later). Music is my roots, and I'm tired of using music software that isn't intuitive to me specifically. So I'm interested in trying to develop a music production software. And I don't know exactly where to start. With anything. I have an idea of I want to execute/manipulate.

What I'd like to know is: what sort of know-how do I need.
