Why is javascript so difficult to learn? I’m brand new to coding and have been working for months to try to learn how to write automated tests in JavaScript. I’ve had online courses and exercises as well as an existing code base to draw upon and automation testers that have offered to help.
I just can’t seem to get it to click. I feel like I’m still missing so much understanding. Part of it is the way the test suite is organized but even just trying to write a test from scratch, almost every step is a landmine for me, and when I have something working that then breaks, I have no idea why.
I don’t think this is a very effective way to “learn”. How did you all learn it? What worked for you and what didn’t? What resources should I be asking for?
