Software developers, hows your work life balance?

I hope this isn't too off topic for this sub. But I'm contemplating becoming a software developer but I'm not sure how much time I would have to do other things I enjoy if I did it.

So I have 2 questions:

With your job how much time do you have to pursue your other interests or just to relax and be with family if need be?

On average how many hours do your work a week and how much paid time off do you get a year?
