I'm looking for a solution to my current situation. I do a lot of software development in my spare time. I am trying to get a job as a developer but until I get hired I'm doing a lot of projects to create a portfolio. I have AWS right now and I love it, but my issue is my machines. I have an HP Desktop from 2013 that's on it's last leg, and a 2011 MacBook Pro that's decent. I spend most of my time on the MacBook, and I have parallels installed in order to run Windows 10 so I can play around with docker. As I figured, my laptop can't really handle the nested virtualization too well, and I've been having a lot of issues on my windows side ever since I installed it.
So I'm looking for a cheap, temporary solution. Getting a new laptop is not really an option at this time. I need a new job before I can start buying the latest tech. So, in the meantime I was thinking about looking into Amazon WorkSpaces. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with these or any alternatives, and how you like them?
