I have a database, android terminal and a web application.
users are being registered using the android terminal and their details are being saved to the database.
what would be the best way to authenticate a users fingerprint against a database from the web application , if the fingerprint was gotten from an Android terminal and saved to a database.
is there a way to authenticate the fingerprint through an API? i.e the web app gets the fingerprint data, sends it to the API and the API would return a match?
From what I've tried the only way to validate a fingerprint is by getting all the fingerprints from the database, convert it to the ISO template and begin compare. and this comparison can only happen on the Android terminal.
please help, where I'm i getting it wrong?
