lack of motivation

I don't feel motivated to build pet projects that I know wouldn't go life.

alot of people advise we build projects to keep learning, but if since I know I'm building the project for learning sake, I'll always not feel motivated to continue/finish it.

for this particular reason i really don't have much personal projects, only work projects.

how do you guys manage to keep the motivation?
