I run a podcast called Software Engineering Daily, and work on some other products on the side. As I have done the show I have become obsessed by the question of why collaborating with people over the Internet is still quite hard.
Specifically:
- why is it so hard to find collaborators/co-founders?
- why is it so hard to build reputation/trust online?
- why is there no GitHub for projects outside of software engineering projects?
This led me to building findcollabs.com. It is a place where people can post projects, find projects to work on, and build a reputation.
If you have time to check it out, I would love your feedback/criticism/flaming/ideas. Thanks!
