My company is putting me on a C++ project, any tips

Hey so long story short, I've only done full stack web development working mostly with Java and JavaScript. My company is putting me on a C++ project for some sort of network management software.

I don't really know anything about C++ development or working with low level network requests. My company knows that and I've made it aware to them exactly what my experience includes. Can this be done? What do I do if I need a crash course in C++ networking?

I have like 2 weeks until we take over the project. Obviously I'm not going to become a master, but I'd settle for completely overwhelmed. Any tips?
