Hey All,
I was recommended by a friend to someone who is looking to pay for a mentor. What I will be doing is guiding them on a path with learning materials and projects to help them get some good experience as they are looking to get a job as a software developer. I have been a software developer full time for around 3 years now and already do this sort of mentorship on a smaller scale since I was in school (I was a TA and currently do some outside school work mentoring young developers).
The thing that I am getting caught up on is how to price? I know consultation prices for large companies but I have never done 1 on 1 type mentoring. How would you all price this? Should I consider using typical tutor pricing ($15-$25 an hour) as I will only be doing this for around 3 hours a week?
Let me know your thoughts!
