I've been seeing references and pictures of open concept offices, and I've experienced the local co-working space. Is there any data driving this move to open spaces that would refute the studies done that show a need for privacy and quiet to foster innovation and productivity. (e.g., those studies cited in People are by DeMarvo and Lister)
Is this all just snake oil like the sale of cubicle walls to companies?
