what tool do you use to store your snippets and skeletons?

I can't believe after 23 years of being a developer I still have not found a useful tool to do this .

Currently I still have repositories in github for various languages. I would really like to use `gist` but there is not really any good command line tools for using / searching these. I guess my requirement would be to make it easily searchable in from the command-line. I still have no reason from moving away from github+silver-searcher (https://github.com/ggreer/the_silver_searcher)

Am I missing something? What do you use?
