Developing mobile applications

Hello,

I wanted to have a try at creating mobile applications. I currently have a fair bit of experience with C# and some knowledge do JavaScript (Angular and Node) as well as some Ruby.

Is there a specific language or a kind of engine required to create the app? I've seen another person use React? As well as others using Unity to create them.
