I need help, possible apprenticeship.

Hi guys, I am a 20M and I am currently coming to the end of my Level 2 IT Support apprenticeship. Ive been in the industry for a year now and the company I work for want to progress into the Software side of IT. They are willing to pay a large sum of money to get me onto a Level 3 Software development apprenticeship.

Now, I have absolutely no previous experience with any programming languages, sql, java etc. I am trying to research and understand some myself before signing a big contract to accept.

Am i going to struggle? Coming from no software background and learning everything new. I have the choice to do Java or C#. I dont really know the difference at all. What would I choose? Which would be more beneficial for me?

I have been given a task to do whilst I have no experience and its frying my brain thinking about it.

I need some help/guidance to see if this is for me.
