Hi guys,
I’m about to have an interview for the aforementioned position in a couple of days and would truly appreciate your help on the matter.
I have over 10 years of experience in academia (English and English Literature) so that part of the job is covered.
However, I have never worked in technical environments as a tech writer or a documentation specialist and truly see this opportunity as a milestone in my professional career.
I have done some homework and found lots of similarities in terms of writing composition and use of language in general.
I have seen that most of the role comes from:
- Knowing how to research for info (asking the dev team, meetings, etc.)
- Knowing how to properly express ideas in a detail-oriented and specific way.
In terms of technical wording, I believe most of it comes with experience when you don’t have a background in software development.
Any tip that you may think could help me with the prep for the interview?
Thanks in advance.
