Native or Native Cross Platform?

I have outsourced a company to develop an MVP app for my startup. I am in doubt as to in which platform should i get it developed for. They have an Android developer in team and not an IOS developer yet. Someone advised me to go for Cross Platform app but this team don't have a developer for that.

My startup depends a lot on this app. It is basically an app based startup. Now i am not a developer so i am confused on what to do.
