Would you build a web app that needs 600-800 api methods, completely with serverless lambda functions?

The idea is a pure serverless backend made from API gateway + AWS lambda as most of functions are set/get queries on db.

Frontend will be a React application.

It's difficult to decide if such a things will work well.

I'm looking for real experience, projects etc
