Identifying multiple devices?

I have a bunch of daemons running as services on multiple computers and I am sending the data from the device to the cloud and I want to be able to identify which chunk of data came from which computer. How can I design something like this? (I am thinking like some sort of licensing key system but I'm not exactly sure how those work) Are there any frameworks possible or design patterns I should follow to accomplish this?
