Reputations of IBM, Microsoft, Google, AWS on open-source & hybrid cloud?

Hi guys! Non-programmer here trying to orient myself to the world of developers. How do developers view the major firms with regard to how cool or good they are at engaging with open-source and facilitating hybrid cloud adoption for orgs? What does the Red Hat acquisition mean for IBM's reputation, if anything? Thanks for your opinions!!
