Hi everyone,
During my entire career (12 years) I've noticed that many people including myself have trobles debugging production problems.
Most people follow a chaotic approach and jump on to conclusions too early without having a valid explanation.
I've seen people deploying fixes over and over again, without really understanding the problem, in an attempt to fix the problem.
Are you aware of any model, method, "framework" or rule that could be applied to help people solve problems in a quick, organized and fruitful way?
I guess the Scientific Method could be applied to such a process. But I guess I'm gonna lose half of the room if I suggest that we use it to debug and solve problems.
Any literature on these subjects is welcome.
Thanks for all the help.
