How is AC and DoD validated at your company?

The current process at my company is to provide a brief written explaination along with relevant link that support each AC and DoD bullet point. Before accepting the story, the PO will read through the supporting explaination for each AC and DoD point. Is this common practice in other organizations?

Isn't the AC validated by the team after peer view and by a demo to the PO?

How is the DoD validated by the PO at your company? For instance, do you have to provide a link to the merge request to show that the code has been merged into mainline?
