As a freelance developer, how do you stay informed of interesting libraries and technologies?

I've been working at a great company with wonderful developers and there are always interesting links being posted in different slack channels.

I'm leaving that company and plan to work on my own projects for the next year.

I would love to see cool and interesting links being shared on specific topics like in some type of Slack channel, wondering if anyone follows any interesting channels like that?
