What is the best UI tech for Android applications?

Hello there,

I'm planning to get some UI layouts from Dribble and learn some UI technology focusing on Android applications.

Basically I'll turn some layout into life (without backend) for the front-end point of view and make it available on github for whoever decides to use in some way, maybe even implementing the backend piece.

The main goal here is so I get a deeper knowledge in the UI stack that I'll be using for this application.

I'm thinking about Kotlin as I never used it before and it's a technology that is growing quite fast and people are saying great things about it.

What are your thoughts around it?
