New lap top ideas.

My lap top died and Im using my old one which is sh*t.

I need some recommendation for buying some good lap top for software dev.

I have been thinking about and a couple of people recommended Macbook, but not sure if its good enough or strong enough, or capable enough for software dev.

I program in Java mostly, I used Unity for game dev for one game and my lap top sounded like its dying. Also Im doing Cloud dev, and machine learning, so if that helps you a bit. The Unity was just one project so I wont do that anymore. I dont play games so no need for gaming lap tops, I need something that is good quality, durable and thats about it (I want to have it for VERY long time)

hope you can help, and recommend something. Price limit is around 1500$.
