Hello guys,
Please feel free to tell me if it`s not the wight sub for it.
I am trying to build a PC to PC connection over USB or Thunderbolt. I have professional experience in Software, but I am an electronics amateur .
The basic use case would be plugging my laptop to my PC, thus replacing the need for RDP. My laptop would be the slave and my PC the master. ( although I do not know if that terminology is right for those protocols).
The master pc will then receive:
– Video Feed (HDMI)
– Input controls (mouse&kbd)
– File Server
– etc…
I know that USB/Thunderbolt supports HDMI/USB/Ethernet. Can it support the 3 protocols at the same time? Worst case scenario, i will create host software that would relay all of that over TCP/IP (like synergy/vnc)
What i`m building is basically a virtual docking station. Any ideas?
