What is a good choice of smart watch for developers?

Hiya fellas,

I've been thinking about purchasing a smart watch. I would like the ability to develop some software for it aswell (I have a couple of ideas). Friends of mine (tech enthusiasts, but not developers) are recommending Garmin, but I would think that Samsung is a smarter choice since it has a bigger market (i.e. bigger development community)?

Any thoughts? Personal experiences?
