Hi,
I am a Computer Science student and I am interested in software development.
I have researched to see what the field is like and I have learned that self learning is a must. I am not too fussed about that but the thought of constantly having to learn new things without an end is kind of making me drop the field entirely. But I am interested in the field.
I have also heard that working hours can be long. It's not that I am lazy, I like to create and all but I want to have a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
So, I was wondering, people who are in the software development field, what is life like for you guys? What kind of people should get into this field? How is your life style, in your opinion, is it balanced? Any advice you would give to your younger self?
I would love to hear your thoughts about the field and advice.
Thank you for your time guys, any kind of insight would be helpful.
If it helps, I am from Australia.
