Working posting reddit bot in nodejs?

I can't seem to find a working example of posting a post to reddit in nodejs. I've found tons of posts from 2017 like: https://blog.syntonic.io/2017/07/07/reddit-bot-nodejs-example/

But it seems they use an Old API. Is there a new API? Am I just not understanding OAuth?
