I am thinking like in the movie The Imitation Game where Alan Turing cried at the thought of having his machine taken away from him.
I read an Atlantic article that had me thinking, it stated that software developers have become in a sense disconnected from what they have created, due to the complexity and numberous thousands of lines of code. This thought is also linked to a book that I read that said, without a physical connection with something it limits creativity.
I think that creating software is nothing like painting a picture or sculpting a sculpture where you have a physical interaction with what you are making (You can see each paint stroke working together) so does that take away the ability to be attached to something that you have created or by extension limit creativity. I am not a software developer but I am interested in what you professionals think about this.
