After 8 years in the industry, working several years as a senior developer and a team lead… I still feel like I don’t have 100 % surefire opinions how things should be done the right way. Questions like automatic testing vs. manual testing, functional programming vs. oop, strict agile vs. simplified, etc.
I see the good and bad sides of each things. The problem is that I see juniors and seniors being adament like ”of course you should do functional programming”, but I never have that ”confidence”.
Is this weird?
When I’m leading the team I do make solid decisions based on what is best for each situation, but it’s only in the context of that project.
