Requirements for making a live streaming software

Im a complete newbie and i don't know anything abt coding, but I'm planning to start learning to code soon, but I'm not here for that today.

I wanted to ask, to make a live streaming software like twitch or yt is it necessary for me to have a huge hardrive storage? Also if it is how would that work.

What are the other requirements for making a live streaming platform. Please tell me anything or everything you can think of.
