I'm looking to write a desktop application with a modern UI. I have debated using Electron as I have done in the past but I really want to write it in C#, both to practice my C# skills and to write in my eyes a REAL desktop app, without the use of web technologies. I know of WinForms and WPF but wondered is it possible to make a modern and sleek application using one of these? And which one should I use? I've heard that these are rarely used to build consumer-facing applications and are more used in enterprise. It seems that C++ with Qt is still the go-to for "native" desktop app development however I would really like to utilise this project to build on my C# skills. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :p
