Questions regarding “future employment”

So I have a quick question for you fine folks and I hope you can help me out.

So I am beginning school very soon and a question my wife is asking is… what is the likelihood of working remotely? Is it a very common thing?

I’m sure Covid has made this more common place, but I am just unsure where else to get this information from. I appreciate your time and help and I hope you all are enjoying the weekend.
