Should I use Python or JS to make a small OCR soft for specific electronic use?

Hi,

I want to make a small software where I can: – load an electrical circuit schematic pdf – draw rectangles (block) on the pdf and name them (ex: block microprocessor, block memory, block sensor, etc) – click on (or draw a rectangle over) the components references (ex for a resistance: r204) so that the soft detects the name (using OCR) – produce an excel sheet where I see all the components in each blocks.

Note that I am thinking of using tesseract for OCR.

Note that the soft do not need to know in which block (rectangle) the components is. Instead, the user creates a block, then click/select all the components references in that block so that all the references selected are put in the excel under that block. Once the user creates a new block, the next components selected will be put in the new block section in the Excel.

If it is not clear, feel free to ask.

Thanks for your kind answer.
