So I work in tech sales and many companies who buy our products want me to refer them to system integrators and software consultants to build it for them. I’m entrepreneurial and always wanted to start my business and I’m seeing all this money (10k at least per job) going to other companies which in reality could be my company.
Now the struggle is if I leave and start my own company I’ll miss out on being able to refer the business to myself (plus I’m not a good coder and need to build a team and pay them).
I’m wondering if anyone had a similar experience? And if someone made the jump from the tech vendor side into starting their own company and how did that start and how is it going?
