I really wanted to get this off my chest because I’m in awe of what is going on at my job for the past 2 weeks. I want to point out that am a junior dev that has been working at this company for about 8 months now. So the team leader has been giving a very shitty attitude the last few weeks and I want to get some other peoples opinion to understand if it’s my fault that things have escalated this way. The project we work on has a lot of different infrastructures and even when you think you get familiar with one infrastructure, if you jump to a different one you might feel lost for a bit until you get familiar with the code. I was assigned to add a new feature and I needed some information regarding the database and the structure that the data should have. I asked the team leader and he always finds a way to overcomplicate an easy question and jump from one topic to another without giving an actual answer whatsoever. I had some other questions that I couldn’t find myself and when I asked him he became so rude about it and answered as if I had said some bizarre shit. He has the same attitude about everything, it seems like he can’t handle the stress of being a team leader and after acting like an a-hole he tries to make a joke to ease the awkward situation he created. I tried to keep a positive mindset because I understand that he has a lot of weight on his shoulder but this attitude has started to affect my confidence as a developer. I honestly want your opinion and what I can do to better the situation.
