Today I interviewed a guy with good 20 years of experience developing software and I was a bit surprised when during the technical part of the interview he wasn't able to understand a class diagram. He mentioned he had rarely used them, even though he had worked in huge companies. I'm genuinely curious about how do you communicate a design without UML in a big company where "a meeting to explain" is not feasible. Do you people use UML?
