I think most of us are familiar with the popular preference for coding at night. This is especially true for me where it seems like I can **only** code at night. During my 9-5, I mostly just answer emails, attend meetings, go down rabbit holes of documentation, get distracted, etc. It's not until night (usually after midnight) that I can actually write good-quality code. As a result, it feels like I'm working more because I have to go to work 9-5 and also actually be a software engineer late at night. Does anyone here feel the same way? What do you do to overcome this? It seems like this is a fairly common issue among software engineers judging by the number of articles I found online and from my experience in the industry. Do you think this is a big enough issue to warrant software teams take more creative approaches to work hours?
