Is there a good audiobook title that gives beginners a foundational introduction to software development?

I love to learn at night thru audiobooks. I've barely dabbled in C++ and would like to get a foundational perspective on software development. Is there a good audiobook or YouTube series I could just listen to in order to get a grasp on software development basics? Or in this field do you need to jump directly into programming exercises?
