Need some help finding detailed information about a few Social Media platforms! Hope this is a good place to ask.

Basically have a report that I need to write for this month, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me find sources on how certain social media platforms are built? Not just the base programming language, but more like detailed information on the technologies used, for example –

• Architecture/OS Arch of the application/platform • Algorithms used for whatever functions are relevant to the app • APIs used • Modular components and technical features

Some platforms I’m specifically looking at are Google+ and MySpace, but I’m willing to change those up if there are better alternatives which would be better to explain via a report. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
