Where do you search for new tools?

Hey guys, when you're looking for a new tool, such as a logging tool, where do you usually start your search? Personally, I start by googling and reading articles, and then try to find what would work best for my needs. I also check Reddit to see what people say about it. I've never used websites like G2 or similar.

Do you go straight to Google, or do you have a favorite community or website where you look for recommendations?

I'm asking because I'm building a SaaS product and I'm a marketing noob who's trying to make my product easy to find. Thank you in advance for your insights!
