For context, I’m the squad’s UX/product designer.
A few days ago one of my colleagues left their laptop open at the office, and I saw that there was a casual chat channel that had our team’s name on it.
Worst part is, they were bitching and venting about a report that I had to present on behalf of the UX team, as it triggered the business to ask the devs do a spike investigation on the issue spotted.
I totally understand that outcome wasn’t ideal, but I would have appreciated some honesty to tell that to me to my face, but they’re just venting behind my back instead? On a private channel too that I’ve not been invited in.
I’m finding this weird because our squad used to have a really healthy work culture before this scrum master joined us. We would openly give each other feedback.
Since he’s joined, there’s been a bit of blame and finger pointing culture increasing, and I’ve been noticing more bitchiness happening in the squad.
I’m honestly frustrated because I really like the work we do in our team, I like the people in the company, and I used to have a really good relationship with everyone in my team. And now all of a sudden I’m not in the team’s casual slack channel?
Any advice or help?
