A coworker found me missing basic knowledge, what should I respond the next time seeing him ?

I'm still in probation, and the team I was assigned to is a new team and currently everything is a mess, everyone in the team is just so busy all the time, we have other teams in the company too and their team is less messy so they could finish work on time and have more free time than I do, I worked on TypeScript in a while but just doing what I need to do, my mistake is not investing my time to actually learn about it, and another senior ones in another team wander around and ask me basic question abt TS, I fucked up by not able to answer those, his reaction was to be like "wow" and then immediately yelling to everyone in the office about me not knowing clearly about TS, it did hurt my feelings a lot and make me feel like a fraud, I will invest my time to learn TS deeply while manage to work in a new structruring, messy team and workload, how do I respond to him with promising tone next time when he wander near me without being rude because freak, I have tons of work to do, not having time to chat or care too much about TS immediately, especially my boss gonna review my probation next week and my boss might ask about that thing, how should I respond to them all ?
