I recently joined a new project which is pretty outdated as a more senior lead.
Already hired on 2 Jr's and our structure for ticketing includes Jira, OneDrive for Docs, and Bitbucket for code.
One of the issues I already ran into is when the Jr's copy text from a Word Doc they forget to format it and run into issues.
I have been brain storming on more efficient ways to track their logical thinking and development process.
Planning on having a Markdown crash course with them. We do not use markdown yet and only excel and word which I want to limit.
Note: We are restricted to only local drives and company systems.
Are there any real-time editing software that can run locally?
Say I have dev-1 working on Ticket-123, I want to be able to see there progress while they document the fix. And be able to just comment or message them if I see a issue or solution.
And be able to store that markdown file in a Sprint folder and look at it later one along with other documentation?
P.S. this is not for micromanaging. I want more autonomy in our team and without having to hold multiple code reviews with them to see what they tried and what worked etc.
Thanks
