I've been reading Deep Work by Cal Newport lately (great book, really recommend it), and in the book he claims that instant messaging software causing havoc on our attention spans, making it much harder to stay at "flow" state and achieve peak focus that is required for coding.
It really resonated with me (I also have ADHD so I find it really frustrating getting pinged out of my zone with a Slack notification or something similar), is anyone else here having this issue?
What do you do to mitigate it?
Thanks!
