When designing a piece of software what do you call the data/inputs you need to make the thing work?

Hi /softwaredevelopment!

I’m a Masters student, currently designing my thesis. I am not a student of computer science.

The product of the thesis will (hopefully) be all the data required to build an interactive piece of software (like a carbon footprinting tool) which a designer and/or programmer(?) can use to actually build the thing. I will be consulting such people during my research to make sure my product is actually usable.

However, I am not sure what to call it.
“The Big Pile of Stuff You Need To Know and Where To Find It” doesn’t have the right ring to it… Any ideas?
