Total beginner need some help!

So I’ve never developed any sort of software, I’m mostly here because I don’t have the required vocab to start looking stuff up.

I need to develop a simple program for my work, I’ve been developing a model for a long time now that will help users determine the success of a mission. That’s really as detailed as I can get about the reason for the software.

Here’s what I want and I’m hoping some one can point me in the right direction. I want to create some software with a very simple UI with some drop down menus for different variables of the model and then the software outputs a success value. That’s all I need it to do but I’m not sure what that would be called or where to start my research. Thanks!
